Defining Magazines

Chris Frey is the Toronto correspondent for Monocle and the founding editor-in-chief of Hazlitt magazine and the Toronto Standard. A six-time National Magazine Award-winner for writing, design and video making, he has contributed to The Guardian, The Walrus, CBC Radio, Azure Magazine, The Alpine Review and Maisonneuve.

At the 2015 Alberta Magazines Conference, Frey sat down with Kathe Lemon , editor in chief of Avenue Calgary, to discuss the challenges of launching and maintaining magazines in today’s world.
