The Association advocates on behalf of publishers on the issues that affect the magazine media industry, including equitable funding models, postal rates, potential fees related to recycling and more. The Association is committed to connecting with municipal, provincial and federal government officials to ensure policy makers have a thorough understanding of the industry and its contributions.
Awards Program
Celebrate excellence through AMPA’s annual awards program. It’s open to member magazines and their freelance contributors, and recognizes exceptional quality in magazine editorial content and design through Showcase and Achievement categories.
Cultural Industries Fund
The Alberta Cultural Industries Association supports a Cultural Industries Loan Guarantee Fund and acts as a direct lender to provide small loans (not to exceed $50,000) for business development.
